A Musical Dead Zone in the Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is never silent: its many soundtracks are constant, each delivering music appropriate to your surroundings. As you pass from land to land, the music subtly changes. You can't escape it.
Except that you can, in one place, and in one place, only.
I know. You're wishing that 'one place' is inside It's a Small World. But think how eerie that ride would be if ridden silently, with the dolls mute, staring, until they start to move - and look! there's a line of them in the water ahead, blocking the way...
Sorry! The package said Shittake mushrooms not, well, let's move on.
So where is this musical dead zone? Disnology knows. You're one click away from finding out.
And when you do find out, it's fine to be skeptical. I can't remember ever not hearing music in the Magic Kingdom, even in the area Disnology claims has none. I think. Maybe I'm imagining that, too. Next time you're there, listen for yourself.
