Howard Stern and Disney Kissin'

Just when you thought the media could squeeze no further juice from the 'story' of David Arquette and Courteney Cox on vacation at Disney World, here is David Arquette on the Howard Stern show to prove them all wrong.

A few days ago, I wondered (in public, of course) why anyone cared that David Arquette and Courteney Cox were together at Disney World.

I figured it was because their movie, Scream 4, opens this Friday.

No one is talking about Scream 4, but everyone is talking about Arquette and Cox at Disney World.

Good PR!

And necessary PR, since the studios have not released Scream 4 to critics. That happens, usually, when the studios think critics will skewer a movie before it appears in theaters. By keeping the movie under-wraps, studios hope for at least a healthy opening weekend.

All of this makes perfect sense, and it's very smart.

But the story got new legs this morning after the congenitally clueless Arquette appeared on Howard Stern's XM Radio Show to announce that he had made a 'move' on Courteney at Disney World but was rejected.

He also told Stern that he had Cox's 'back' - though apparently not when he makes a move on it - and that despite his estranged wife's rejection of his advances, the pair did get in a bit of kissing.

David must not have pulled out enough pixie dust.

Entertainment Tonight headlines this story as "Courteney Rejected Me at Disney World".

The official Disney Parks Blog usually jumps on even the most minor celebrity appearance in the parks. But not this one. The Mouse wasn't born yesterday, you know.
