Kelly dives back into writing with a nod to one of this year's best family movies - The Muppets - by taking a look at Kermit the Frog from the Park Series 1.
Vinylmations Profiles: Park 1 Series Kermit

Author’s Note: I would like to send my apologies to my readers for the recent lack of columns. A back injury has prevented me from using the computer. I am finally getting better, so much more Vinylmation 360 goodness is heading your way!
Over the next several weeks, Vinylmation 360 will be focusing on showcasing some of my all-time favorite vinyls. Some are oldies but goodies, while others are more recent. Most are 3”, but some are 9” vinyls. What a great way to show off some of the best work by the very talented Vinylmation artists.
In honor of the new movie The Muppets (run, do not walk, to your nearest theater if you still haven’t seen it!), the first vinyl we’ll look at is Kermit the Frog from Park Series 1.
Designed by Monty Maldovan, Park 1’s Kermit 3” vinyl is one of the most highly sought after vinyls to date, and it’s obvious why! The use of the ears for Kermit’s eyes truly makes this vinyl special because it actually looks like Kermit. The fact that it is one of the first character vinyls ever produced (along with Figment, Epcot’s SMRT-1 robot, and Animal Kingdom’s Yeti) and is the first ever Muppets vinyl makes it that much more sought after.
If you are looking to add this beauty to your collection, be prepared to shell out some serious cash. The three most recent Kermit vinyls sold for $102.88 (auction), $116.50 (auction), and $150 (Buy It Now) on eBay. If you still haven’t completed your wish list for the holidays, eBay gift cards might be a good request to make if you are after Park 1 Kermit.
For the more budget conscious collector, there are two more affordable Park 1 Kermit options. Disney also produced 3D Kermit pins and magnets for sale in the parks and online. Some of them have also ended up at the Disney Outlet stores for as little as $1.49 each.
Park 1 Kermit is easily in my list of the top 5 Vinylmations ever produced. Where does he fit in yours? Tell us in the comments section below!
On the last Monday of every month, I'll devote this column to your questions and my answers. You can leave questions here as comments or send them directly to me.
