About the Column

Finding perfect Disney pictures isn't easy. The obvious places to look, such as Flickr, are awash in pictures posted by folks returning from a Disney trip. With patience, it's possible to find stunning shots, not always 'photographically flawless', but stunning for how the shooter has captured a slice of Disney, big or small, and captured it in such a way that you're inspired to do likewise the next time you're in a Disney park. Enjoy these shots of park perfection!

Perfect Haunted Mansion Bride

Every Disney picture tells a Disney story, don't it, and today our perfect picture comes from Ray Horwath, who showed no fear of neither bride nor her hatchet as with trembling hands he took this stunning shot, which then followed him home.

The story of the Haunted Mansion bride is quite chilling.

Jilted by a past lover, she now beheads current lovers.

As your Doom Buggy glides through the attic, you'll see the bride depicted in portraits with her many past flames. A rotten wedding cake sits eternally uncut on a table.

Every so often, in an aura of sickly blue light, the bride's ax appears in her hands.

When that happens, look quickly at the portrait: the prospective groom's head is gone!

Ray Horwath timed his shot perfectly to capture the bride's chilling face (anyone else notice a resemblance to Chico Marx?) and the ax she clutches so lovingly to her bosom:
