Perfect Donald in Mickey's PhilharMagic
Every Disney picture tells a Disney story, don't it, and today our perfect picture comes from Gary Burke, who like me seems to appreciate that the real star of Mickey's PhilharMagic in Fantasyland isn't the Mouse but rather the Duck.
Park Perfect has become so popular that I've decided to feature a shot from a different photographer each day rather than devote an entire week to one photographer. You'll still see multiple shots from the same shooters, just not consecutively.
My favorite attraction in Disney World's Fantasyland is Mickey's PhilharMagic.
Whenever I'm in the park, I visit multiple times.
Lately, I enjoy it even more, because suddenly I'm able to see in 3D.
No, it isn't a newly developed superpower, but rather the unexpected resolution of an otherwise baffling eye condition that I've had since youth. The condition, which I don't believe has a name, made me incapable of perceiving three-dimensional effects in movies or shows in 3D, even with the glasses.
I'd sit stock still, glasses stubbornly in place, as everyone around me screamed and recoiled at the sight of cool special effects.
But a couple of years ago, in Mickey's PhilharMagic, my eyes apparently decided to give me a treat, and I was able to enjoy the show like everyone else. And still can!
Enough about me. The real star is Gary Burke's shot of Donald tied up in the tubas at the conclusion of the show. As with all of Gary's perfect pics, the detail is amazing, and makes you feel sorry for Donald - almost!
