Disney Mother's Day
If, growing up, you spent some of your happiest family moments in a Disney park, why not remember Mom on Mother's Day with a Disney gift? What a great idea! Chris Taylor thinks so, and just in time for the holiday, he shares his list of perfect Disney gifts.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Disney moms out there!

This week, I wanted to do something a little different, and talk to you about Disney gifts for your mother.
Now, there are a number of blogs pitching ideas for Mother's Day gifts; even the Disney Store itself has a list of ideas, ranging mostly from hand bags and scarves to kitchen items.
But, from years of having a mom, I can tell you that getting your mother something to cook with may not always be the best idea. I also know that a lot of us can't afford the pricier Disney items, like jewelry.
So what I've done is gone to the source, my own mother, who raised me as a Disney kid lo those 40 odd years ago, and asked her to pick out some items she'd like to have this Sunday.
Here's to you mom!
I wish I could get you everything on the list, but in lieu of that, know that I love you and appreciate all you've done.
Now, on with the stuff...
- Classic Silver Mickey Mouse Watch for Women
- The classic Mickey watch, with his arms telling the time. Updated from a leather band to a silver bracelet.
- TRON Legacy Soundtrack CD
- Honestly, who wouldn't want this? Daft Punk captured not only the feel of being inside the virtual world, but the tones and emotions as well. Plus, you can dance to it.
- The Sorcerer's Apprentice Musical Mickey Mouse Figurine
- Mom loves The Sorcerer's Apprentice and music boxes (and snow globes, but she didn't put any on the list. Probably because she already owns most of them ...) so this is a no-brainer.
- Sweetheart Mickey Mouse Ears Keepsake Box
- Not only does my mom like this, my daughter and wife would love to have it, too. Actually, I kind of like it as well. Bold, bright, and fun to hold. Hide all your treasures here.
- Alice in Wonderland: A Visual Companion Book
- My mother, ever the Tim Burton fan, watches Alice with my daughter on almost every trip to grandma's. I'm a little surprised she doesn't already have it! During our last trip, I got her a Mad Hatter hat, which she wore the rest of the time.
And for the mother of my daughter, my lovely bride, some items I think she'd like:
- Canvas Minnie Mouse Tote
- My wife loves bags. Let me repeat: my wife LOVES bags. And I love this one. I'm a big fan of using only part of a character on an item, and this works great. I also love how the handles are part of Minnie's bow. The inside is polka dotted, too.
- 40th Anniversary Walt Disney World Bracelet
- This one would be right up her alley. Big, bright, and colorful, with great graphics.
And finally:
- Disneyland Resort T-shirt
- My wife hails from Souther California, so Disneyland is really her home park. She's got a sweatshirt, a denim jacket, and a wallet from DL, but frankly, I'd love to see her in one of these shirts.
So, happy Mother's Day to you both! Love you bunches...
